Argonaut Farms Alpacas
Argonaut Farms is located in Siskiyou County, near the base of Mt Shasta, in the beautiful foothills of Northern California. They say there's something magical about Mt. Shasta, and whether it's the clean air and marvelously pure water, or some other mysterious something; magic does happen here...
In the spring of 2008, Athena was born. Now in the old Greek stories, it is said that Athena was "born full-grown," and so she was - on Argonaut Farms - or nearly so... She weighed 31.8 pounds when she was born, while her sweet little friend, Marley, weighed in at a more usual weight of 17 pounds.
At Argonaut Farms Alpacas, we raise these marvelous animals, shear them every spring, then spin and knit wonderful items with this incredibly soft fiber. We have a nice selection of breeding stock, fiber/pet alpacas, as well as raw fiber, roving for spinning, yarns and knitted or felted items for sale. Browse our website or call for a visit.
