Majestic, magical Mt. Shasta!

Argonaut Farms is located in Siskiyou County, near the base of Mt Shasta, in the beautiful foothills of Northern California. They say there's something magical about Mt. Shasta. Perhaps it's the clean air and marvelously pure water, or some other mysterious something, but magic seems to happen here... Ask us about the story of Athena.

We raise these beautiful animals with loving care, shear them every spring, and use their beautifully soft, warm fiber to make yarns, roving for handspinners and other fiber artists, meditation mats, energy mats, rug, hats, scarves, baskets and all manner of things!

Benji is a sweet boy, and will trade you a kiss for a handful of pellets! In the summertime, he loves to play in the water and he'll give you a kiss if you squirt him with the hose!

We had quite a few babies born this last summer! A baby alpaca is called a cria, and when they bounce around the pen like a bunch of gazelles, it's called "pronking." It's really a sight to see! Click the picture to watch the video, or come and meet them all in person!
